How Can My Content Help You...

Jen:

I was able to meet my first goal and successfully book a 2-week trip to Europe for our family of 4! I booked 4 roundtrip business class tickets for 400k points and $2,000 (taxes/fees), then booked our hotels on points. All told, the entire trip will cost me $5,500 + points/miles. The same trip paid with cash will cost over $30k!!!

Mary:

Booked non stop flights to Paris for 47K points and $181 round trip. I did lots of looking around at the best way to book and was amazed at this price just by simply transferring my points to the Air France portal rather than booking direct through chase. It feels very validating to know that even though I may not be booking expensive villas in the Maldives for free quite yet I am still getting value out of and the hang of travel hacking.

Stephanie:

I booked my frist flight in QSuite coming up for $206 in fees. This is huge for me because I typically book basic Economy for international red-eyes and never sleep!! I will fly economy/main cabin home on Qatar for about 50k Avios because I share your perspective that it doesn’t all have to be bougie 🙂 I care much less about solid sleep on the way home. I truly feel like I may never pay cash for a flight again unless its a super cheap domestic flight (but on school vacations it never is! #teacherlife)

Evan:

Just finished booking a 27th anniversary trip to Italy…almost all for free (airline and hotel redemptions) including our first-ever business class flights. R/T positioning flights CLE-IAD on UA but booked partially with Avianca partner award…11,000 LifeMiles (including transfer bonus) plus $31.20 in taxes/fees for the outbound leg and then free on the return leg due to using $300 in UA Travel Bank credits from Amex Platinum airline credits.  Total out of pocket cost so far – about $750. How does this feel…how would it make you feel?!?!?  Incredible, that’s what I would say! 🙂

Jennifer:

I generated 500,000 points/miles in 2 months with my husband. We also all got the clear pass for free and 2 Global entry passes for free.  Booked an amazing trip for amazing value — 3 AA flights + 5 nights at Marriott Coronado for $600. And i feel like I have a new lease on life! Also, by the way, I am a public defender, so my job can get really brutal. These trips — planning them/imagining has given me new life!

Robin:

Booked 4 tickets to Europe for less than $1,000 (all intaxes and fees).  Tickets would have cost $15,000

Jessie:

We’ve traveled far more than I could have imagined in just the past year, almost exclusively with points and miles. We did a two-week trip to Italy this spring (including a biz class flight for the trip home!) and then two months later went to Hawaii for 10 nights, and we’ve done a few trips closer to home in Northern California on points. Next I have trips booked to Disneyland and Mexico City and am working on a longer trip to Greece+Turkey in a year. I work in the nonprofit sector & my partner is a stay-at-home dad, so the fact we’ve been able to do all this within our budget and with no credit card debt is honestly unbelievable.

Mark:

My girlfriend and I were able to visit 5 countries is 6 months on points. I was able to help my sister, her husband, daughter, my mom, and dad go to Disney world for my nieces birthday for the first time. I am currently planning my 5 year anniversary and the trips cost will be about $45,000 but I only plan to spend around $500 in total.  Obviously amazing!!

Between me and my husband we have earned over $4000. worth of points in just a few months! It’s amazing what we have been missing right in front of us!! So glad we found you.

Cassie

I feel more comfortable and knowledgeable about credit cards and points. In addition, I recently booked a one-week trip to Jamaica using points and miles. I am still in shock and absolute delight that my flights and hotels are being completely covered with points!

Alexandra:

I’ve been able to strategize more based on my own goals (versus what the influencers put out there that doesn’t always feel realistic or attainable).  I will be using some of my points to stay at a hotel only a couple hours away from where I live – which I likely never would’ve paid for if it required cash.  However, it’s going to allow me to spend more time with my sister since we live a couple hours apart!  It’s amazing to have the freedom to make spending time with my sister easier.  I’m also using points (transferred to Hyatt) for an upcoming trip to visit my best friend in Arizona!  I’ll be staying at a hotel just a few minutes away from her house.  I haven’t seen her since before the pandemic, and we’ve both had so much change in our lives since then.  It will be so special to catch up with her!  Lastly, I’m in the midst of booking a trip to London next Spring with my husband and a few other family members.  I’m booking the hotel we’re all staying in as their Christmas gifts, and I’m just so excited to be able to do that for them!  Traveling and family are both so important to me, so booking a trip for all of us is a dream come true.

Allison:

My husband has really taken an interest in the travel hacking world and is very excited to have these new opportunities for us. My credit score has shot up since applying for cards, hitting SUBs, and paying them off immediately. My kids hear me talking about it ( a lot) and are throwing in votes for where we all go 🙂

Frances:

I have opened several cards since I’ve started listening to you and have earned over 800k pts. It feels pretty surreal, but also like a puzzle. I’m loving the challenge and have a goal to book a dream trip in first/business class for my family. My first win was booking my mom a roundtrip flight from LAS to HNL to SYD and back by transferring about 30k UR to Southwest and 63k MR to Qantas. It felt amazing to be able to take care of the flight for my mom.

Betsy:

With your help,

*I flew to Europe FOR FREE, in business class with a free interior flight for a 2 mo. Backpack trip across southern Europe. In a 1:1 session, you told me about Excursion Fares so I used points and transferred them to United (90,000) .

*You helped me strategize hotel point use for some lovely splurges along the way. I stayed in both Hyatt and Marriott properties in Portugal, Spain and France.

*I used your hotel perk template ( I was celebrating my retirement from 30+ years of teaching) and got some lovely treats….THANKS AGAIN, that was such an extra!

Erin:

It really made me think how my everyday spending could help me travel without opening another credit card. I’m a very seasoned traveler, and even I didn’t realize how many opportunities I had to reduce my travel costs by being smart about where I spend my money, and where I’m booking, and who I’m flying with. I also love listening to all of your podcast guests and then following them after the podcast to get even more tips from them! It’s such a great community that you’re building.  I’ve definitely changed how I use points and miles more wisely.

Jenna:

My husband and I just took an unbelievable trip to Europe (Paris, Brussels, and Amsterdam). We took our first business class flight to from JFK to CDG using points transferred to Flying Blue/Air France. We had to use a positioning flight from ATL to JFK also booked with points! We decided to stay in Airbnbs in the different cities we stayed but we did use the Airbnb credit I got from my capital one venture x card. We stayed in the Hyatt regency at CDG in our last night, booked with points, and used your template to get upgraded to a suite! We also had a flight cancellation on the way back to ATL from JFK and we were able to use your tips to make sure we got properly compensated by the airline. Overall it was such an amazing trip and we have to to thank for making it possible! It is the best feeling to know how much money we saved by using all we have learned from your platform – I never thought this type of travel would be possible for my husband and I!  I’d say we saved roughly $5000 on this trip thanks to your tips – thank you Julia!

Dixie:

During summer, we traveled from CA to Nashville, TN. My fiance flew for free using the SW companion pass and I used points for my flight. We saved $1,100 on flights and it felt amazing to only pay 11$ each for SW tax.

For our hotel in Nashville, we redeemed 3 nights of stay using 120k points ($650 value) with free breakfast from the hotel. To be able to fly for next to nothing and stay at hotels for free was mind blowing because before following Julia, I never thought this was a possibility.
